U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation's Assistance to Georgian Emergency Situation Center
The U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation handed over 10 tents with heating and light/electricity systems, a portable shower container, and five portable sinks to the Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center to support field emergency response teams. This $225,000 project will ensure high-quality field emergency services during all types of emergencies.
The donation is part of a larger effort by the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation to increase Georgia’s resilience and improve the country’s readiness and response capabilities. The head of the Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center – Alexandre Kutibadze welcomed Chief of the Joint Staff, State of Georgia National Guard – COL Scott Jackels, State Partnership Program Director – LTC Patrick Fairfax, Bilateral Affairs Officer – MAJ Daniel Sekula and HA Program Manager – Tamar Rurua during the handover ceremony.
