US Army National Guard Military Police visit Georgia (June 25 – 29)

OnDSC_0239 June 25-29, military police (MP) officers from the State of Georgia Army National Guard (GA ARNG) visited Georgia to share their experience with their Georgian Ministry of Defense counterparts. A State Partnership Program (SPP) Director, LTC Jason Ellington; MP Battalion Commander, LTC James Collie; Battalion Chief of staff, MAJ John Filiatreau; Company Commander, CPT Jeremy Poisson; and Chief Enlisted MP School Advisor, MSG Meara Brown evaluated the progress Georgian Armed Forces (GAF) have made towards MP structural reforms to better integrate into the Georgian Armed Forces, make MP units more deployable for international missions and increase their NATO interoperability.  GA ARNG MP team visited both Eastern and Western MP battalion posts, as well as MP Regional divisions to assess their capabilities and provide recommendations for further transformation. This was GA ARNG MP team’s third visit to Georgia. These events are part of the twenty one year State Partnership Program between the Country of Georgia and the State of Georgia and will continue to strengthen the relationships and mutual capabilities of both countries.
