US Embassy Sponsors Continued Training in Safe Crowd Management Practices (June 25)

class

From June 15 to June 25, the US Embassy—through its International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Office—sponsored training on safe crowd management practices for approximately 500 public order personnel from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.  The training was a continuation of previous courses provided to personnel over the last several years to enhance safe crowd management skills.  Among other things, the training continued the longstanding focus on respect for human rights, effective communication with demonstrators, and dispersing crowds in conformity with the law.  The training culminated in a series of practical exercises conducted over a three day period with the approximately 500 personnel.
