IMG_7926On 2 March 2016, USAID Deputy Mission Director Thomas R. Morris gave opening remarks at the High School of Justice as part of the roundtable discussion, Women Running for Judge: The Impact of Gender on Candidate Success. USAID’s Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia (PROLoG) sponsored the event, bringing together judges, legal professionals, and civil society representatives to discuss the importance of diversity in judicial leadership and the impact of gender on the success of judicial candidates. Gender equality is one of the main priorities of USAID’s PROLoG activity, which supports research, advocacy, and training programs about gender and law in Georgia.
