USAID Support for Central Election Commission under Elections and Political Processes Program (March 31)

Cybersecurity is crucial to protecting democracy. Today, Georgia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) signed an agreement with UGT, a private-sector IT company, to provide critical software and hardware to protect the country’s democratic elections from external malign influence.

Electoral cybersecurity is supported by the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), a key partner in USAID’s Elections and Political Processes initiative. We’re proud to support electoral integrity in Georgia through our partnerships with the CEC, IFES, and other independent organizations committed to strengthening democracy in Georgia.
