The Civil Affairs Assessment Team from US European Command (USEUCOM) is visiting Georgia from its base in Grafenwöhr, Germany to assess U.S.
Department of Defense Humanitarian Assistance projects and build stronger ties with its Georgian partners.
On January 26 the team met their Georgian counterparts from the Civil Military Cooperation Section. For the next two weeks the team will travel around Georgia to assess projects completed by US Office of Defense Cooperation over the last five years, as well as share tactics, techniques and procedures on how civil affairs teams can become more compatible for future NATO missions. The team’s work is essential in creating future avenues of cooperation between the U.S. and Georgia.
