Visit to Georgia by General Philip M. Breedlove, U.S. European Command (EUCOM) Commander (March 22)

The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the visit to Georgia of U.S. EUCOM Commander General Philip Breedlove on March 22-23.

During his visit to Georgia, EUCOM Commander General Philip M. Breedlove will meet with President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Minister of Defense Tinatin Khidasheli and Chief of the General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze.  The visit serves to demonstrate the importance of U.S.–Georgia bilateral relations and to emphasize the United States military’s appreciation of the Georgian Armed Forces’ continued contributions to international security missions.  He last visited Georgia in October 2014.

Gen. Philip M. Breedlove also serves as NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR).  Prior to assuming his current position, General Breedlove served as Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.
